Specialist expertise for exceptional vehicles

Optional equipment & carbon
assessed individually.

Individualisation is often central to a sports car or hypercar. Carbon packages, ceramic brakes, special paint, high-value wheels and subsequent modifications can have a considerable effect on the vehicle's value.

What matters

Record the details.
Create clarity.

01

Record factory equipment completely

The original configuration and all value-relevant options should be documented using the purchase contract, invoice or specification list.

02

Declare subsequent modifications

Power upgrades, suspension changes, wraps or additional carbon components can affect acceptance, premium and cover and should be agreed in advance.

03

Consider repair costs realistically

Diagnosis, parts procurement and repair can be particularly complex for carbon and limited components. The actual scope must be checked in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Is optional equipment automatically covered?

Not necessarily in every amount or form. The type, value and installation of equipment should be declared fully and checked in the individual quotation.

Must carbon parts be listed separately?

Detailed documentation is particularly useful for high-value factory options or retrofits. The evidence required depends on the individual case.

What applies to tuning and power upgrades?

Technical modifications must be permitted and disclosed to the insurer in full. Only then can cover and terms be assessed.
