Specialist expertise for exceptional vehicles

Agreed vehicle value
assessed individually.

For high-value, rare or individually configured vehicles, the actual market value can differ significantly from a conventional current value. The valuation basis applying to the individual quotation should therefore be clarified before cover begins.

What matters

Record the details.
Create clarity.

01

Document the value clearly

Purchase price, configuration, optional equipment, condition and, where appropriate, a current valuation report provide a reliable basis for advice.

02

Check the valuation basis

Terms such as new value, replacement value, market value and agreed value are not interchangeable. The individual quotation and policy terms are decisive.

03

Reflect changes

Modifications, retrofits and possible changes in value should be reviewed during the policy period and updated where necessary.

Frequently asked questions

Is the purchase price automatically insured in full?

No. The valuation basis specified in the quotation and the applicable policy terms determine the amount.

When is a valuation report useful?

A current report can support valuation for rare, older, heavily individualised or particularly valuable vehicles. Whether one is required is assessed individually.

What happens if the value increases?

Any provision for value appreciation and its limits depend on the selected tariff. Significant changes should be reported and documented proactively.
